Another Milestone passed

Past week I reached another milestone in my ‘body transformation’. Since last year I came down from about 100kg (220 pounds) to ±85kg (187 pounds). It’s been a great experience and I’m able to squeeze into (European) Medium sized t-shirt. Sometimes even small size sport wear!
The milestone was finishing the HVB CityLauf in Aschaffenburg. It’s a 7.9km run, 5 rounds through the city. The D-group started about 18:30 with a few drops; it ended with all being soaked by the pouring rain. I did it in 46 minutes, with a 50m walking break during the last round (which was a very good call from me). It was probably the cheering that helped me running it that fast. Ilka and Pia supported me while waiting for Tomas to start in the C-group (he did it in 36 minutes!).
Off to my next milestone, which isn’t well defined, but meanwhile I’m trying to get my body even further down to 78kg, but it’s getting harder.

First leg of my Main Square Project

I’m planning to drive the Main Square which is when you look from the sky to the the river Main, you can form a square. It will probably take me 2 or 3 days in total.

Yesterday I took on the first leg, which is probably the hardest one. It goes from Aschaffenburg over Laufach, Neuhütten, Rechtenbach and ending in Lohr am Main.

It was quite a tough ride through Spessart. In fact, I had to twice get off my bicycle, rest and continue the climb by foot. In total it was about 40km and took me 3 and a half hours. Bad luck my GPS ran out of battery to continue the tracking.

In Lohr am Main I took the train back to Aschaffenburg.

Sharing my running and cycling stats

I’ve been on a diet since February 2008, and lost like 12 kilo (that’s about 26 pounds). And damn I feel good!

Actually, I should still lose another 10 kilo but I tried to do some running, and now I can’t stop! Taking the bicycle and going for a drive for an hour along the Main (river) is also no issue!
Also, I’m keeping track now of the exercises using my Polar F6 and data is now also online using Google documents! No, I’m not going to start using these special community tools like Polar and Nike has.
Go me!
