My parents in Belgium are now more than 2 weeks without internet connection, because of hardware failure of their Linksys router. Apparently, if you don’t know where to run too, it’s hard to get decent replacement for a router in Belgium..
So, the internet provider they are using, Dommel, told my parents they can help if their wireless router was used. That said, payment done, payment received: No device yet! Worse, there at this Dommel-thing, they can’t even tell whether it was send or not! Usually, it should take 1 or 2 days to deliver something like that. I’m getting stuff around the world faster!
Anyway, if you’re in Belgium, stick with the more expensive providers. Forget the R^HDommel things (‘rommel’ means ‘crap’, btw).
Or move to Germany! You have an internet tax by these crappy GEZ folks, but at least it’s decently affordable, and no limits.

That said, I would never buy any hardware from an ISP unless its the only way to get a certain service, but never for 'normal' hardware you can buy in nearly every PC store in the country.
Their administration is somewhat messy, but if you stick to the thing they're good at - being an ISP - they rule.
And do I regret it!
Crappy service, unreachable helpdesk.
I rather pay 20 EUR more, but having at least some good service whenever problems occur.
