A bit of early Sunday morning rhymes at work.. picking up a support shift (not all you read is true: I do not hug cups!): The struggle to wake up, rubbing eyes and hugging the cup Picking up the shift, reading email and hoping for no drift Reminders better be spam, this morning I wish it remain calm Oh little hangover Why are you hereOh little fever It must have been the beer Still dawn outside, soon customers awake, and I can’t hide If it all stays online, all will be good, I’ll have a great time, But something will have failed, and we’ll save folks badly bunkered Oh five hours of sleep Why wasn’t it longer Oh in bottles I looked deep Eight hours, I hope not to linger
Recycling old MySQL business cards
Well, we don’t have a policy on what to do with them, so I went creative. Not as creative as Harrison did (where is that picture???), but I like it. It’s hanging next to my MySQL certificates. Yes, I’m proud on these things, maybe I’m a bit vain.. But it does look good on the wall of my storage room.(btw, this flickr to Google blogging is great!)
Walk near Rückersbach (Germany)
Walk near Rückersbach (Germany) This was the first time I went out with my tripod. Usually I just shoot wildly and freely and .. blurry. However, I only shot at the end. I like the walk itself more. What I learned was that hiking with tripod isn’t all to bad and future pictures might be just even better! Actually, I got a bit lost in the woods. Lucky I found some people and we had some fun with their 4 dogs.
Pearl
This blog was actually meant to be some place I could show my brain-dumps.. Originally it was called ‘Some Abstract Type Shit’ (yes, after the LP of Mo’Wax) but Google said it contained a bad word.. ‘Abstract’ ain’t bad or..? Anyway, here’s something that came up on Monday writing other stuff: You’re like A newborn sun Among the star Worth a scar Like a gentle wave, the deep blue, Something to stick around You are you, A Pearl to be found
Again, MySQL 5.1.24 does not come with Cluster
I’ve seen some posts on our forums and comments on our website telling us that the Cluster Storage Engine is missing. Yes, it’s not anymore in MySQL 5.1.24-rc and later. It has been pulled out to go into a different distribution. Reading the ChangeLog is a good thing!
