Easter time in Germany (at least in Bavaria and other christian states) are having a long weekend with Friday and Monday before easter Sunday off. What am I supposed to do during these extra days of vacation? Well, I could visit my family, true. But there was something more important. Cleaning up! Yes, that’s right! Cleansing the apartment! I started on Friday with considering doing it. I think this is a very important step.

That’s right, I’m a bit crazy, but not insane and also trying not to be stupid anymore! Have done that before, not again! One year I have been with MySQL AB and it’s great to have some normal working habits. Although, I’m learning quite a few things with me now specializing on MySQL Cluster, I have to be careful I’m not hooking myself into it to much. I rather keep my options open and look at other technology to work on too.

I just did something with lines a few days ago.. Drawing some easter decorations for a website on some paper, scanned it in and just went over the lines using Gimp and the Pencil there.. Without thinking, I just did it.. And the outcome was pretty nice and I liked it. Today while making my own site, SomeAbstractTypeShit, I took my picture you see in the corner and ‘blacklined’ it.

Just a note here that my personal Wiki is up. It’s personal yes, no community folks can add/edit/screw it up. Can read it though! http://wiki.some-abstract-type-shit.com I’m using Mediawiki because kugh I’m being kugh forced too by colleagues. No seriously, I think it’s the better one around. MoinMoin was great, but I guess one needs to grow out of it. The layout is combination of the LifeJournal template and the MonoBook thing of MediaWiki.

I got a bit tired of always wanting to develop my own software all the time. First I never get to it, second I’m never happy with it, third: I need more free time! So, I decided to give blogger.com a try first. It looked nice! But, I don’t know.. LiveJournal got me more interested. I think the layout of my blog could use some more better design here and there.
